Competition Journey: From District to Global
The Invent Infinity STEM Competition is an exhilarating multi-tiered challenge designed to spark creativity, teamwork, and innovation. Teams advance through five progressive stages:
District → City → State → National → Global
each with unique tasks and time constraints.
March 2026
Registration & Team Formation
Students register in teams of 2–5 members.
Teams are encouraged to be interdisciplinary, combining talents across engineering, design, programming, and more.
During registration, each team selects a competition theme to guide their innovation journey.
May 2026
District Preliminary Round: Creative Proposal
Teams submit a creative proposal within 24 hours, tackling a real-world problem related to their chosen theme.
Proposals must include:
Problem description
Innovative solution
Preliminary design
Materials plan
Judging Criteria: innovation, feasibility, and practicality.
The top 30% of teams advance to the City Round.

City Round: Timed Design Challenge
Teams receive an official materials kit with limited resources (e.g., metal, wood, plastic, electronics, sensors).
In just 48 hours, teams create a detailed prototype design and prepare a 5-minute presentation to impress the judges.
State Round: Timed Prototyping
Teams receive a new materials kit and have 48 hours to build and test a functional prototype.
Teams submit a 10-minute pitch video showcasing their innovation and results.
August 2026
National Finals: Live Demonstration
At the live event, teams have 4 hours to optimize and test their innovations.
Each team delivers a 20-minute live pitch and answers questions from an expert panel.
August 2026
Global Finals: The Ultimate Innovation Showcase
Finalists from around the world gather for the Global event.
Teams refine their prototypes within 4 hours and deliver a 30-minute live pitch to a global audience and judges.
